We’re proud to have helped Heart of Glass to relocate the Together in Love and Courage mural to a new space at St Helens Central Station, in collaboration with Northern rail and Vinyline. Originally installed as a floor mural on Foundry Street in St Helens town centre in Spring 2022, the artwork has since been re-homed due to the redevelopment of the town centre.
Created by artist Annie Frost Nicholson and charity Change Grow Live, the mural is part of a wider series of public artworks commissioned by Heart of Glass that platforms the work of women and LGBTQIA+ artists.
We worked closely with Heart of Glass to adapt and accurately rescale the original artwork for its new setting, ensuring it retained its impact within the station space. We also designed an accompanying interpretation panel, giving passengers the opportunity to learn more about the piece.
