Create/Connect explores how creativity and community support trans and gender diverse young people’s wellbeing. The project is led by Professor Olu Jenzen at the University of Southampton, working with a team of researchers from the Universities of Brighton and Glasgow alongside other community partners.

Create/Connect asks questions about how community belonging can support our wellbeing in everyday life, and how we use our creativity to build collective resilience when facing societal challenges. These topics are explored across creative workshops such as zine-making, writing and photography, alongside digital community mapping and arts activities.
We partnered with the research team to produce a creativity-inspired logo design and identity, which features hand drawn illustrations and a new website with tailored content about the project and how to get involved.
