The print aspect of the REACT project is now progressing swiftly. We are nearing completion of the 12 booklets and with the addition of a variety of illustrations they are looking really interesting and more importantly make what can be a difficult subject an easier read.

We have recently completed a new site for Digitech who are a leading independent, specialist provider of infrastructure and integrated data & audio visual solutions.

Working closely with the client we have developed a CMS driven site, which is functional, clean and delivers the comprehensive content in an interesting but formated style.

Digitech supply their services to the Corporate, Financial, Government, Education, Defence, Healthcare, Construction, Systems Integrators and Outsourcing markets throughout the UK and we have enjoyed working closely with them to bring the site to fruition.

Our work on the Jabokni prototype is now complete. This will allow Bill to approach manufacturers with the game concept.

We have recently completed a logo project for Rugby Performance, who have been involved in the physical and athletic development of young people for over 15 years. They have a proven track record of innovation, and success in terms of propelling players on to achieve their rugby ambitions.

It takes a bit of courage to stand in front of somebody who is bigger than you and not only wait for the point of impact but actually run into that impact yourself. Courage comes from confidence as much as anything else, so Cage Rugby is designed to develop a confidence in the players’ own physicality.

Goin Down in a Blazer Glory

Nothing to do with JBJ or brat-pack cowboy movie Young Guns, but Gary’s beloved pair of import Nike Blazer have been immortalised online in a site we have recently launched for Manchester based ‘Reverse Graffiti’ company Ecco Media.

Ecco Media offer unique street clean advertising and marketing campaigns, using custom made stencils and jet washers to selectively remove dirt from urban locations, to create an eye catching temporary graphic on the newly cleaned pavement or wall.

The site needed to be be very simple, clean, modern, reflect their eco friendly credentials and take full advantage of social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook and Flickr. In addition to the site we designed a new logo that can also be used as a stencil to brand all future street campaigns. Next time you’re in Manchester, look down!

We have just completed a site for UK music producer Carl Taylor. Carl has been releasing music since 2002 and has had music released on Bugged Out! and Dust Science amongst others. For his latest project ‘Warehouse Trax’, Carl released two tracks a month during 2009 of raw jacking acid house, all made using vintage analogue equipment with not a laptop in sight!

Carl wanted a one page website that would act as an archive for the project, with info about the inspiration behind the project and how it was made and also previews of all 24 finished tracks with associated details. We took our inspiration from the design style of the machines used to make the music, Roland’s TR-909 and the Akai MPC. In addition we also created a Warehouse Trax logo that nods to the classic Roland TR-909 typeface.

As part of our framework agreement with St Helens Chamber we have added a 4 page, A5 Young Entrepreneurs leaflet to our body of work. The fund aims to help people under 19 with a great business idea get it off the ground.

Here’s an advance look at a series of posters and flyers we have been working on for Colour, a new club night at the infamous Sankeys in Manchester. The designs feature images of the headliners Robert Hood, Frank Lorber and James Ruskin and the huge one colour B0 posters are being plastered all over the city centre this week.

We’ve received the flat sheets for the folder from the printers today. Crisp, clean and more importantly, signed off by the client.

The press is ready to roll on the booklet, and we can’t wait to see this fully finished!

A big thanks to Nick “8 ball” Walker who has recently been working in the studio, bringing with him excellent artworking and design skills. He’s been able to help on a variety of projects, including the De La Salle programme and Jabokni. Solid job.

The first round of work has been completed for this recent commission from Flying Squirrel a procurement consultancy, who wanted their business to reflect themselves with a colourful, quirky image.

Along with the set of stationery shown here we have produced a branded presentation template, with a new website scheduled for launch in the new year completing the package of work.

We were commissioned to work with the students to produce a campaign and event programme for their ‘It’ll be alright on the night’ event. Starting with a series of hour long classes we involved the students in the many aspects of creating an awareness campaign via traditional and guerilla marketing techniques.

The group discussed how the students could use illustration styles that are fun but relevant to the school and explored artistic, photographic and caricature options that the students could easily cut and paste using traditional and modern techniques. The title of the show led us to adopt a things will go wrong attitude, we all felt the best representation of this was a simple, comedy custard splat.

We demonstrated how the initial ideas the group produced could be distilled into posters, leaflets, t shirts and the programme (with a heavy emphasis on splats of all types).

The resulting Posters, T-shirts and Programmes styled on a Victorian Revue (sort of) where deamed a great success and we look forward to working with the school again soon!

The brief was to design a folder and booklet that extol the quality of the training with brand style and clarity. With a clean, professional look the pack outlines the Health and Safety training in a simple but effective manner. There is a particular focus on the quality of the training days, utiliising high quality photography of the sessions in progress.

We feel the final product more than delivers on quality and the team at The British Red Cross feel it will really aid their client presentation.
